The exhibition collects images of various forms of resistance, from direct warfare to grassroots social movements in Ukraine and abroad. Refugee reports, protests, self-organization, frontline fatigue, and the devastated Ukrainian landscape remind us of the brutal conflict that has been going on next to Poland’s eastern border for two years
February 2024 marks two years since Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, although the war there has been going on for almost a decade. We have gained uninterrupted access to images of this conflict, the most highly-covered by media in history, thanks to social media, civic and professional news channels, and a growing body of vernacular records devoted to war crimes. Ukraine. Stories of Resistance is a small fragment of this testimony.
