Fotografia Europea is an international cultural festival dedicated to contemporary photography. This year’s, 18th, edition concerns the topic of European identity and aspects like collective memory or a European sense of belonging that relate to it
The Archive of Public Protests (APP) is a platform for gathering documentation of social actions and grassroots initiatives that have opposed political decisions executed in violation of principles of democracy and human rights. Since 2019, Milach, together with seventeen fellow photographers, has been a co-creator of the Archive.
The Archive of Public Protests. You Will Never Walk Alone exhibition featured in the Fotografia Europea festival will present Milach’s works that are a part of the APP. As curators of the festival write: ‘It’s a collection of images that constitute a warning against rising popularism and discrimination in the broadest sense of the term: xenophobia, homophobia, misogyny, and also the climate crisis’.
The festival is curated by: Luce Lebart, Walter Guadagnini and Tim Clark.
