Charitable auction and exhibition are gestures of solidarity, a way of the art community to show support to refugees. Even though we could have got used to the news about the migration crisis, it still requires our attention, and people seeking safety need our support. The exhibition and auction Refugees Welcome take place as a response to the challenges of the modern age.
The proceeds will be devoted to two programmes effectively pursued by the Ocalenie Foundation for years: Refugees Welcome Poland, which connects refugees with people in Warsaw willing to share their homes with them, and the Help Centre for Foreigners, which assists refugees in finding work, and offers legal and psychological assistance as well as Polish language classes.
All works will be displayed from September 29th until December 10th in the Museum on the Vistula.
