Photomorgana is the title of the event and a term dedicated to a certain set of art objects that at first seem to be classical or weird photography, but in fact are just a complicated artistic procedure that leads to such an impression.
This is the phenomenon of the apparent creation of an image (in this case a photographic image) despite the application of distant techniques and forms of artistic expression: scenography, artistic installation, object, reconstruction, assemblage or performance.
Artists: Mikołaj Długosz, Przemysław Duda, Magdalena Franczuk, Weronika Gęsicka, Florian Green, Wiesław Jarmułowicz, Kacper Kowalski, Robert Kuśmirowski, Kobas Laksa, Iza Magnuszewska, Marek Mazanowski, Irena Nawrot, Łukasz Owczarzak, Karol Palczak, Urszula Pieregończuk, Jacek Piotrowicz, Rudi Rapf, Andrzej Sobiepan, Patrycja Sobiepan, Jacx Staniszewski, Grzegorz Wójcik, Marek Wrzesiński, Anna Wypych
Curator: Robert Kuśmirowski
The main idea of the show is a special selection of works and their effective overview, in a way that is impossible to recognize, so that it is not mainly about photographic techniques, but only about the fallibility of our sight.
The aim of this artistic procedure is to show the delicate border between the skills of perceiving the world and their designator. The works gathered in a specially arranged show allow for a better understanding of this phenomenon, the phenomenon of creating an apparent image by means of a forced attitude of the viewer.
