Polityka’s Passports is the first polish prize given to visual artists after 1989. In the time of cultural wars of the transformation period in Poland the prize was a way of honoring artists and their work. The exhibition will cover two time frames for each of the 30 laureates by presenting their, both, current and earlier (from the year of receiving the award) works. Boundaries of art. 30 years of Polityka’s Passports curated by Dorota Monkiewicz will provide a very wide portrayal of Polish contemporary art of the last three decades.
