Most of Magda Hueckel’s works are personal in a very intimate way. This new exhibition will explore her fascination with archives through various image deconstruction techniques. “It’s a story of woman’s strength, that has been superseded for centuries; the story of dignity as well as stigmatization, discrimination and trauma” – we read in the description of the event.
The exhibition is organised in partnership with Jednostka Gallery.
Magda Hueckel – visual artist, theater photographer, stage designer, traveler. Her works have been exhibited at several dozen exhibitions in Poland and abroad (including Tate Britain in London). Author of photo books and film scripts.
Our Curse, a documentary she created with Tomasz Śliwiński, received an Oscar nomination and dozens of awards at international festivals.
