Born in 1998 in Luhansk in Ukraine. In 2016 she moved to Kyiv, where she commenced her studies at the National Academy of Visual Arts and Architecture. In 2020 she completed two contemporary art courses: one at the Kyiv Academy of Media Arts (KAMA) and another titled Positions of the artists conducted by Method Fund. In 2021 Kateryna Aliinyk obtained a Master of Arts degree at the Faculty of Painting. The main themes of her art are: the war and occupation of Donbas, which she explores through nature and a non-anthropocentric visuality.
